IDW1 and IDW8 intelligent universal circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) are used in power distribution networks with AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 660V (690V) and rated current 630-6300A to distribute power and protect lines and power supply equipment from overload, ⽋ voltage, short circuit, single-phase grounding and other faults.
The circuit breaker is equipped with intelligent protection function and precise selective protection, which can improve power supply reliability and avoid unnecessary power outages. It is also equipped with an open communication outlet and can carry out "four remote controls" to meet the requirements of the control center and automation system. The circuit breaker has an impulse withstand voltage of 8000 V at 2000 m above sea level (corrected for different altitudes, up to 12000 V). The circuit breaker without intelligent controller and sensor can be used as an isolator, shown as layer 1.jpg.
The circuit breaker complies with GB/T14048.2 "Low-voltage Circuit Breakers for Low-voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment" and IEC60947 "Circuit Breakers for Low-voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment" and other standards.

a. Current meter function
The maximum phase current is displayed normally, and the current or time values for calibration, test, and fault can also be displayed.
b. Voltmeter Function
Display the voltage of each line, with the maximum value normally displayed.
C. Remote monitoring and self-diagnostic functions
(1) The controller has a local fault self-diagnosis function. When the computer fails, an error "E" is displayed or an alarm is issued, and the computer is restarted.
(2) When the local ambient temperature reaches 80°C, an alarm can be issued and the circuit breaker can be broken at a small current (when required by the user).
(3)The intelligent controller has signals of overload, grounding, short circuit, load monitoring, pre-alarm, and OCR output through contacts or optocoupler, which can be used for remote control by the users.
d. Adjustment Function
The four buttons "Set", "+", "-", and "Store" are used to adjust various parameters of the controller. Press "Set" to the state to be adjusted (indicated by the status LED). Then press "+" or "-" to adjust the parameter size to the desired value.
Press the "+" or "-" key to adjust the parameter size to the desired value, and then press "Store" again. The protection parameters of the controller must not be cross-set. After the control is reset by power failure, press the "Set" key again to cycle through the set parameters.
e. Test Function
Press "Set", "+", "-", "Decouple", "No Decouple", etc. The controller can be checked for various types of protection with the "Set," "+," "-," "Release," "No Release," and "Reset" keys. Use the "Set", "+", and "-" keys to adjust the test current for a simulated fault (note: do not "store" to lock), and then press the "Set", "+", and "-" keys to adjust the test current for a simulated fault. (Note: Do not "store" to lock), and then press the "release" or "no release" key to test, and the controller will be ready for fault processing. Pressing the "unbutton" key will break the circuit breaker, pressing the "unbutton" key will not break the circuit breaker, and the controller will indicate normal status. Note: For the convenience of the test, the ground leakage is disengaged regardless of whether it is set in the off-load or alarm position, and the test is disengaged with a lower priority than the overload protection. If a fault occurs during the test, the controller automatically stops all tests and enters fault handling.
f. Load Monitoring Function
The ILC1 delay time feature is an inverse-time feature with a time setting of 1/2 of the long delay time setting; the ILC2 delay time feature has two types: the first is an inverse-time feature with a time setting of 1/4 of the long delay time setting; the second is a fixed-time feature with a delay time of 60s. The former is used to disconnect the lower-level unimportant load when the current is close to the overload setting value, while the latter is used to disconnect the lower-level unimportant load when the current exceeds the ILC1 setting value, so that the current drops to keep the main circuit and the important load circuit powered. When the current drops to LC2, a command is issued after a certain delay to turn on the lower level circuit again to restore power to the whole system. The above two types of monitoring and protection can be selected by the customer.
g. The MCR and analog interrupter protections can be turned off at the request of the user and are generally required to be turned off for short-delay interrupter tests.
①The MCR interrupter protection is mainly used when the line fault is closed (instantaneous energization of the controller), and the controller has the function of interrupting the circuit breaker at a low short-circuit current. The factory setting is 10kA with a tolerance of ±20%, and the setting current can be set according to the requirements of the customer.
②The controller is equipped with the function of sending a direct decoupling signal without processing the signal by the host core when the short-circuit current is very large.
h. Thermal memory function
After the controller overloads or short-circuit delayed decoupling, it has the memory function of simulating the characteristics of double metal metals before the controller loses power. Short-delay energy is released in 15min. If overload or short-delay fault occurs during this period, the time of decoupling will be shortened, the controller will be powered off, and the energy will be automatically cleared to zero.

Installation, Use and Maintenanc
◆Installation
1.Check whether the specifications of the circuit breaker meet the requirements before installation.
2.Before installation, check the insulation resistance of the circuit breaker with a 500V megohmmeter, which should be no less than 10MΩ at a surrounding medium temperature of 20±5°C and a relative humidity of 50-70%, otherwise it should be dried and used when the insulation resistance meets the requirements.
3. When installing the circuit breaker, the base should be level and fixed with M10 screws.
4. Install the circuit breaker with a reliable protective grounding, with a clear grounding mark at the grounding point.
5. The upper or lower line of the circuit breaker does not change its technical performance.
After the circuit breaker is installed and wired according to the relevant wiring diagram, the following operational tests should be performed before the main circuit is opened (the finger on the drawer seat of the drawer type circuit breaker is in the test position).
a. Check whether the voltage of the ⽋ voltage, shunt release and release (closing) solenoid, and electric operating mechanism match (before closing the circuit breaker, the ⽋ voltage release must be energized).
b. Toggle the handle on the face shield up and down seven times, and then the face plate will show "energy storage" and a "click" will be heard to show the end of energy storage, press the "1" button or the release (closing) solenoid. The solenoid is energized and the circuit breaker is reliably closed (if the controller reset button is reliably reset), and the handle can be triggered to store energy again.
c. The motor is energized and operated until the face shield shows "energy storage choke. Press the "1" button or the energy release (closing) electromagnet to energize the circuit breaker, and the circuit breaker will close reliably.
d. After the circuit breaker closes, the release test of the intelligent controller should be able to disconnect the circuit breaker regardless of the voltage, the shunt release or the "0" button on the shield.
Application of intelligent controllers
1. Controller setting
After pressing the "Clear Light" key, set the choke key until the long delay status indicator lights up, displaying the long delay factory current setting value, generally In, the current setting range is (0.4~1.0) In, and press the "+" and "-" keys as needed. Press the "+" and "-" keys as needed, increasing or decreasing at <2% intervals each time until the closest desired current is reached. Then press the "store" key once, and the store indicator light will turn on and off once, indicating that the long-delay current setting has been stored.
After the long delay time is set, press the "Set" key again, the long delay time status indicator lights up to show the long delay time factory setting value, press the "+" key, and the time increases by a factor of one each time you press the key. If the time is too long, press the "-" key again to reduce the time by a factor of one each time until it is closest to the desired time, then press the "Store" key once, and the store lamp will turn off once to indicate the end of the long delay time adjustment. The load monitoring, short-delay, instantaneous, and grounding protection action values and action times are set in the same way as above, except that they correspond to different status indicators. The grounding time is set to the "OFF" position to indicate the fault state, and grounding is only alarmed but not released; the instantaneous setting is set to the "OFF" position to indicate that the protection is canceled, and the controller will automatically block the function once there is a fault signal during the setting process. Enter the fault processing state.
Various protection parameters of the controller must not be set at crossover. The protection priority of the controller is as follows: long delay time < short delay time < instantaneous. For reclosing, the setting value of ILC2 is smaller than that of ILC1. After the controller parameters are all set, press the "clear light" key once or reset the controller once to put it in operation.
2. Controller test
After the controller parameters are set, the controller can be checked for various protection functions as needed before the circuit breaker is operated. If you press the "non-disconnect" key, the circuit breaker will not be disconnected. (Note: L-type products only have the test of decoupling, press the "test" key once, the controller will send a transient signal, the circuit breaker breaks).
Overload test, press the "set" key to the long delay state, check the overload setting value and then to other current state, press the "+" and "-" keys, adjust the current to >1.3Ir1 Press the "+" and "-" keys to adjust the current to >1.3Ir1 , then press the test key once to enter the overload test state, and press the mechanical "reset" button once to close the circuit breaker.
3. Other rules for using the controller
When the controller is in the setting and checking state, if the key is not pressed within one minute, the key is automatically cleared and the controller enters the operation state; if a fault occurs, the key function is automatically blocked and the controller enters the fault handling state.
a. Setting check
After the controller "clears the lamp", press the "Set" key continuously to cycle through the various states and corresponding set current and time values if there is no fault. Press the "Clear" key once after checking (no key is pressed within 1 min to automatically enter normal operation).
b. Current and voltage check of electric grid operation
After the controller "clears the lamp", select the "Select 1" (Select) key continuously to cycle through the operating current and grounding current values with the maximum phase current normally displayed, and press the "Select 2" key continuously to display the maximum phase current. Press the "Select 2" key repeatedly to cycle through the line voltages and display the maximum line voltage normally.
After the controller "clears the lamp", press the "Fault Check" key once to display the last fault status and fault current, and press the "Select 1" ("Select") key after the test or fault decoupling. After the test or fault is disconnected, press the "Select 1" ("Select") key to cycle through the current or time values of the test or fault, and the test status is not memorized.
c. Reset
Before closing the circuit breaker, you must first press the "Clear" button of the controller to bring the controller into normal operation, and then press the mechanical "Reset" button to close the circuit breaker.
If the user has specific requirements for the product characteristics according to Tables 4, 5, and 6, he or she can specify them when ordering and set them according to the order when shipping.
If the requirements are not specified in the order, use M type for the controller and set the item in the factory.
a. The long delay time Ir1 is set at 1.0 In and the 1.5 Ir1 action time is set at 15s.
b. Short time delay Ir2 is set at a value slightly greater than 8Ir1, with a fixed time of 0.4s.
c. Instantaneous Ir3 is set at 12 In. d. Ground fault Ir4 is set at 0.4 In, and the action time is set to "OFF" so that only the circuit breaker is displayed and not opened.
If you need to change the factory setting value during use, you are allowed to set it by the controller according to Table 4 after you fully understand the product.
M-type or H-type controller
1 - Reset button. If the circuit breaker is to be closed again after the breaker is released, the reset button must be pressed once, otherwise the breaker cannot be closed.
2-Current (voltage) and time display, which can display current (voltage) or time values.
3-The "-Select" key. The current (voltage) values are displayed in cycles for normal operation, and the fault current or time values are displayed in cycles for fault status or fault check status.
4-LED illumination indicates various states and categories.
5-Press this key once after testing a fault or before the circuit breaker is closed to keep the decoupler in normal operation.
6 "- Set" key. Check or set various protective characteristics for current or time use. Press this key to cycle through the states.
7"-Fault Check" key. After the controller has "cleared", pressing this key displays and indicates the status of the last fault and the fault current or time value. The fault current and or time are cycled through by pressing the "Select" key.
Press the "Select" key to cycle through the fault current and or time. 8 "-Disconnect" and "No Disconnect" keys are used for the test function. Used when performing test functions.

1. Long delay time setting
a.Rotate Ir1 switch to set the current from (0.4~1)In

c. Turn the Ir1 switch to the OFF position to exit this function.
2. Short delay time setting
a. Rotate the Ir2 switch to set the current from (3 to 10) In.
b. Dial the "ts" key to set the time to 0.2s or 0.4s.
c. If the Ir2 switch is rotated to the OFF position, the meter will exit this function.
3. Instantaneous setting
a. Rotate the Ir3 switch to set the current from (3 to 10) In or (10 to 20) In or (7 to 14) In.
b. If the Ir3 switch is rotated to the OFF position, this function is exited.
4. Ground fault protection setting
a. Turn the Ir4 switch to set the current from (0.2 to 0.8) In.
b. Dial the "tG" key to set the time to 0.2s, 0.4s, 0.6s, 0.8s.
c. Turn the Ir4 switch to the OFF position to exit this function.
5. The controller enters the operating state.
